Bear Off – the act of removing a checker from the board according to the outcome of the dice Beaver/Bianche – an optional rule according to which the player who has just accepted a double may suggest a redouble while still owning the cube Behind in the Count/Behind in the Race – when a player has a higher pip cou¥×nt than his opponent; the opposite of Ahead in the Count Blitz – a strategy whereby the player focuses on attacking the opponent's blots in his home board Block – when a point is taken by at least two checkers to hinder the opponent's movement Blot – a single checker that resides solitary on a point where it is exposed to being hit by the opponent
Break a Point – the act of removing a checker from a point that hosts two checkers while leaving it an open point. The opposite of Make a Point
