Centered Cube - the location of the doubling cube before any of the players has offered to double.

Checker/Checkers - one or all the game pieces used in backgammon

Closed Point – a point which hosts two or more checkers; see also Block, Anchor, Open Point

Combination Shot – see Indirect Shot

Count - the relative status of each player's pip count; see also Ahead in the Count, Behind in the Count

Crawford Game - the first game in a match play following a game that ended within one point of winning; the doubling cube cannot be used in that type of game; see also Crawford Rule

Crawford Rule – a rule used in match play, according to which the doubling cube cannot be used in the game after either player came within one point of winning the match

Cube Decision - the choice between offering a double or not and between accepting or refusing a double
